Welding theory in accordance with EN 14015 and EEMUA 159
When building storage tanks, EN 14015 prescribes mandatory welding inspections. What does EN 14015 say about preheating weld seams and how should 'Post Weld Heat Treatment' be handled (where, how and when)?
But mandatory welding inspections must also be carried out when maintaining tanks in accordance with EEMUA 159. When it comes to older materials, it is necessary to know where and how preheating should take place and how the preheating temperature should be determined, if you do not know all the material properties.
Result
- As a tank builder and/or owner, you are able to assess where and how welding inspections should be carried out.
- You will learn how to handle welding consumables and the theory of welding in new and old materials.
- You will learn how to deal with WPS's and WPQR's and which inspections must be carried out by internal or external service providers during new construction and also during “Fit-for Service” determinations of storage tanks.
- You will learn to delve deeper into the requirements set in EN 14015 and EEMUA 159.
